Join us after a Biodynamic Wine Tasting for a full moon grounding Yin yoga class led by Melissa Goodall, physical therapist and certified yoga teacher. This class is sure to help you balance out the crazy pull of the moon and leave you rested and ready to slip right into a great night's sleep.
Yin yoga is the perfect balance for the Yang world we tend to live in, leaving us over scheduled and exhausted with no time for quiet or inward reflection. Poses in Yin are held for 1-5 min in a supported fashion and allow us to give positive pressure to deeper connective tissue structures in order to allow for improved flexibility and durability. It is based in traditional Chinese medicine.
If you have never tried Yin, you are missing out on the other half of yoga essentially. Strength without flexibility causes imbalance and injury, Yin offers balance for any other style of workout or exercise.
This is open to any level of yogi including beginners. However, this is not restorative yoga and should not be practiced while tissues are damaged or injured.
Make sure you bring your mat, a water bottle, and invite a friend quick because spots fill up fast!
